You Are a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel
|

You are warm, loving, and genuinely selfless.
You enjoy comforting other people, and you easily fall into the roll of caretaker.
Of all the types, you're the most likely to be an excellent cook.
You tend to have something delicious for breakfast that you've cooked up for everyone.

So I've had my first week of lectures!
I get mondays and friday afternoons off which is nice.
Lots of work, and I'm not really sure what's expected of me but I'm trying to stay positive.
Many people have said that they got low grades in the first year of uni because it takes a while to adjust to the teaching method...but I'm detirmined to avoid that if I can.
So many books to read, so little time!
I've also got some friends... I've never really had a big bunch of mates ever, but Liz, Debbie, Lois, Paul, and Rachel seem like a good place to start. I know more people than that but they are the few I feel that I can depend on. My flatmates are lovely too, and I'm the only Welsh person on this floor! Aberdare Hall is very multi-cultural and very pretty!!! I'm surrounded by trees and the Victorian hall is amazing! But I get to live in the Wing that was renovated over the summer, which means I have a matress that's never been used before, there's a fresh lick of paint on the walls, and most of the previous problems have been ironed out. The kitchen is HUGE, and so are the three showers. I haven't had to wait to have a shower since I've arrived which is pretty cool. Plus the Hall is quiet by midnight- rare for uni accomodation anywhere. I love living here. And it's really close to the Humanities building (literally 2 mins down the road)...
I do get homesick, but it helps that I know if I jumped on a train then I'd be home in 20 mins. And I've been 'Skypeing' home too. It's great to be able to hear my family's voices! Still miss them though. And the cat. And TV.
It doesn't feel like I've been here for 2 weeks but 2 years instead!
And I've been so busy that Freshers Fortnight has passed in a flash.
I am a fresher no longer.
I am a first year.
Wow.
